Hi, I’m zac.

I’ve been involved with the horticulture business in the Nashville area since 2005, and I can help you decode the landscape issues your property faces. Maybe you’re new to the area and want to figure out what or where to plant. Maybe turn a dingy patio into something more. Or maybe you have a large project that needs more nuanced vision and detailed aesthetics than what you’re comfortable entrusting or communicating to a contractor. Whatever it is, starting off informed will make all the difference.

With clients across 12South, Franklin, Sylvan Park, Germantown, Belmont, Brentwood, Five Points, Green Hills, Belle Meade, Donelson, Forest Hills, and even Chattanooga and Cookeville, I’ve encountered challenges up and down the mid-south spectrum. When we meet I’ll bring experiences from owning my commercial greenhouse & garden center, managing a wholesale tree nursery, handling a university’s rare plant collection, selling commercial potting mixes around the US, and collaborating with contractors. There are plenty of landscapers and architects who can sell you a project, but none with an industry insider track. If you’re ready to step outside armed with education and confidence, then we have work to do.

My Approach

visualize it

The plants that emulate your perfect magazine or social page are out there. They’re just not offered to you. But do you even need plantings? Let’s take stock of what you already have.

It all begins with a conversation. Challenged with design choices? Disappointed by garden center choices? Not sold on paving, pottery, or furniture options? Disgusted by the stuff you inherited? Too short on time to oversee the process?

organize it

I bring an architectural sensibility to the landscape. Let’s bring focus to areas that make sense for you to use and unpack the dynamics of putting them to work for you and your guests.

realize it

What do we downsize? What do we maximize? Is it time to update? Who can do it for us? We won’t arrive at all the answers until we get honest with every question.
